About Us

Experts in steel fabrication, design, and installation – from beginning to end

Our ability to take a project from an estimate, through detailing, fabrication, installation and to final sign-off makes us unique. By dealing with only one subcontractor for both steel fabrication and installation, communication is streamlined, and schedules are met. This adds value to every project we are involved in and there is accountability throughout the entire process, with no excuses. We have a well-equipped 36,000 square foot fabrication facility in Vancouver, WA and our trained field crews install our work both locally and out of the area - we go where the work is.

Structural Steel Fabricators - Capabilities & Capacities

Instafab is headquartered at 2424 E 2nd Street, Vancouver, Washington. Our shop is a 36,000 square foot building set up for what we do. The building is fully crane-served by four (4) 5-ton bridge cranes, along with over 20 jib cranes at the workstations, reducing worker fatigue, which keeps the work flowing. We have shears with up to ½” x 12’ capacity, press brakes up to 16’ x 400-ton capacity, several large ironworkers, drill presses, many saws including large mitering bandsaws and a beam saw that can cut up to a 25” x 40” section, a CNC plasma cutting table, plate rolls, pipe benders and rollers and many welders of all types and sizes. We have a certified 40’ paint booth that allows us to apply finish to parts properly and safely. Our shop is clean, organized, well-run and SAFE. We have full-time maintenance personnel to make sure that our equipment is working properly and safely. Every piece of equipment is inspected every day, and if a problem is found the equipment is tagged out until it can be repaired, inspected, and put back in service.

Workflow and Quality Control

Instafab uses the Fabtrol software system to manage the flow of work through the shop. From estimating, through detailing, material procurement, and finally when it hits the shop floor, Fabtrol helps us track the material and the jobs. We have a comprehensive Quality Control manual and a full-time QC technician whose only job is to make sure that we are producing high-quality fabrications per plans and specifications. Quality is everyone’s responsibility, and we are obsessive about it. As a result, Instafab has earned the reputation for doing great work. We don’t cut corners for anyone.

We Take Safety Very Seriously

Instafab has always believed in a culture of Safety. From the day a person hires on at Instafab, employees are required to practice and participate in our safety programs. The shop workers are trained in forklift operation, proper and safe crane operation, shop equipment, and use of PPE. Instafab spends time identifying and managing hazardous materials and conditions. We have a Safety Committee to ensure our Shop is the safest workplace, but all the workers are tasked with identifying and calling out any condition that might cause harm to our employees. The Field crews also train constantly. We practice 100% tie-off on job sites, and all our Foremen have their OSHA 30. Our field crews are trained in CPR, equipment operation including forklifts, lead, silica and asbestos safety, ariel equipment, rigging, fall protection, flagging, and ladder use and safety.
